What this course is for

Runes are historical letters, and they also appear in later spiritual systems. Samael's Magic of the Runes combines sound, posture, prayer and interpretation with material from several traditions. This course helps you identify those layers instead of assuming that a modern exercise is a proven ancient Nordic method.

The central source is Rune Fah. You will read its components, consider bodily accessibility and study how the book interprets the Aeneid. A silent, seated or entirely reading-based route completes the course. The limited preparation here is not the source's full breath-and-posture method, and no extraordinary result or physical performance is required.

Readiness: Devotional Practice (M07), Energy and Responsible Preparation (M08) and Reading Wisdom (F08), or equivalent understanding of source context, accessibility and method boundaries.

  • Separate evidence of runic writing from a modern Gnostic practice claim.
  • Identify the coupled components and source conditions of Rune Fah before borrowing one part.
  • Choose a comfortable reading or seated preparation and review its limited result.

Take one lesson at a time. Read its explanation and example, prepare the single activity, then review the attempt. Fictional work is a complete study route; it does not establish how you will respond in life. No journal, streak or personal submission is required.

An excerpt from the sentence immediately before Practice, listing the components the author includes. It is a reminder not to reduce the whole method to a shape or sound.

Put it into practice. Identify the complete source instruction and its conditions before deciding what you are studying, adapting or prepared to perform.

Your course, step by step

  1. Historical runic writingSeparate a historical writing claim from a later spiritual use of a rune.
  2. Samael’s system and its sourcesIdentify Rune Fah's coupled components and distinguish source study from performing an adapted fragment.
  3. Posture and accessible alternativesChoose a comfortable supported preparation and label it accurately instead of forcing a source posture.
  4. Sound and intentionDistinguish a source's sound sequence from ordinary speech and choose a comfortable silent or reading route.
  5. The Aeneid and symbolic interpretationSeparate Virgil's epic scene, Samael's later interpretation and a personal application.
  6. Integration without performance claimsFinish an honest account of the route taken and choose one proportionate next study or guidance step.

Keep the work proportionate

No raised-arm, crouching, sun-gazing, breath-regulation or retention exercise is required. Do not infer a bodily method from a letter shape. Use a comfortable supported position, silence or fiction. Never look directly at the sun. Physical, vocal and breath methods need their own suitable guidance; a reading exercise does not establish readiness for them.

Credited teaching and our contribution

The National Museum of Denmark supplies historical writing context. Samael's Rune Fah and Oracle of Apollo chapters supply modern Gnostic instruction and interpretation. Virgil's Aeneid remains a distinct ancient epic, here in Dryden's English translation. Our seated preparation and comparison activities are independent support, not archaeological reconstruction or a complete reproduction of the publisher's method.
