What this course is for
A planet can be studied as a physical body and as a symbol. Confusion begins when evidence for the first is used as proof of the second, or when a symbolic cycle becomes a prediction of someone’s life. This course keeps the two questions visible while introducing Samael’s astrological language.
You will compare Mercury in NASA’s account with one Gnostic correspondence, inspect the components of a source exercise without performing it, and read the author’s actual life-stage sequence. The final activity is a small study note and an ordinary action with its own practical reason. No birth chart or personal forecast is required.
Readiness: Reading Wisdom (F08) and Kabbalah (M11), or equivalent source and diagram literacy. No birth time, location, horoscope, astronomical equipment or paid service is needed.
- Separate measured planetary information from spiritual correspondence.
- Identify a source exercise’s conditions before borrowing a part.
- Use a cycle as a tentative reflective framework without fatalism.
Take one lesson at a time. Read its explanation and example, prepare the single activity, then review the attempt. Fictional work is a complete study route; it does not establish how you will respond in life. No journal, streak or personal submission is required.
these forecasts produced by profane astrology can fail
An excerpt from the author’s criticism of deterministic mathematical forecasts. His alternative supernatural explanation remains a separate claim.
Put it into practice. Treat a confident forecast as a claim requiring evidence, including when a spiritual author offers a different mechanism.
Your course, step by step
- Astronomy versus astrologySeparate a physical fact about Mercury from a spiritual attribution.
- Planets, signs and interpretive languageIdentify the parts of one astrological correspondence without using them to label a person.
- Samael’s exercises and correspondencesIdentify the components and claims of a named exercise before deciding whether further guidance is needed.
- Life stages as a symbolic frameworkRead the verified planetary age sequence as an attributed framework and identify its limits.
- Timing, uncertainty and ethicsKeep an ordinary decision grounded in practical evidence instead of waiting for a symbolic permission.
- A non-predictive study practiceComplete one physical/symbolic comparison and carry a reasonable reminder into an ordinary action.
Keep the work proportionate
No sun-gazing, neck movements, invocation, regulated breathing or partner method is assigned. Do not use astrology to determine treatment, financial choices, compatibility or whether a person is trustworthy. The course studies claims; it does not certify predictive ability.

Credited teaching and our contribution
NASA supplies measured physical context. Samael’s Practical Astrology supplies correspondences and exercises. His Hermetic Astrology, Cancer chapter, supplies the verified age sequence in the linked English PDF; the translator is not identified in that copy. Our comparisons are independent activities.
